You will provide your printed GRH voucher to the taxicab driver as payment . Vouchers must be provided to the taxicab driver at the beginning of the GRH ride. Taxicab drivers will not accept photocopies, facsimiles, or expired vouchers. If you do not have a valid GRH voucher available for payment at the time of your ride, you will be responsible for payment.
Government
On your SFCS profile click on “My Rewards”, then click on “Show Details and Inventory” below and click on “GRH Voucher 1 Point.” Redeem your voucher using 1 point, and you will have access to your GRH voucher. Print this voucher out and hand it to the taxi driver at the beginning of the GRH ride when you are picked up. Program usage is restricted to four times per calendar year while funding is available. The voucher only becomes available for use within the Free Ride promotion timeframe listed above. Therefore, you’ll only be able to see your voucher after entering an eligible ride.

You may lose access to the program if it's used in an unauthorized or inappropriate way. Once the call or an online request is made for an emergency ride, RideFinders will confirm that you are registered participant of the ERH program. You must carpooled, vanpooled, ridden your bike, or ridden the bus to work on the day you request to use the program.
One of the most commonly cited concerns from commuters for not ridesharing, even though they would like to, is not having a way home from work in the event of accident or emergency. Some commuters forego the benefits of a green commute "just in case" they need their car. RideFinders offers commuters a safety net to ease worries against being stranded when ridesharing. The Emergency Ride Home Program provides eligible, enrolled commuters who carpool, vanpool, bike or ride the bus to work at least three days a week with a ride home or to your vehicle if an emergency occurs while at work. The government will pay for your Uber/Lyft ride or taxicab fare to get you home. To be eligible for GRH simply register with us and let us know if you carpool, vanpool, ride transit, or walk or bike to work/school at least three times per week.
Lyft riders have donated more than $23 million since 2017, providing thousands of free rides and supporting communities across North America. We provided free rides to and from temporary housing when thousands lost their homes in California’s Camp Fire in 2018. In the 2016 presidential election, it’s estimated that more than 15 million eligible voters didn’t go to the polls because they didn’t have a way to get there. This year, we’ll be offering free rides to the general election through a number of nonprofit partners. Millions of people lack access to basic needs because they can’t get a ride. The High Occupancy Vehicle decal allows registrants to drive on the HOV lanes at any time regardless of its occupancy.
Please do not wait until you need a ride home to register as you may not be immediately eligible. Guaranteed Ride Home provides a free ride home for registered commuters in the Greater Baltimore/Washington region who take transit, or carpool, vanpool, walk or bike to work at least twice weekly. Guaranteed Ride Home is available up to six times per year for anyone actively participating in the Back ‘N’ Forth Club commuter program throughiRideshare. Eligible users must commute to work using an eligible mode on the day of their request. Eligible modes include public transit, vanpool, carpool, bicycling and walking.
Participants will not be reimbursed for those services rendered. If you are a full or part-time employee and use a carpool, vanpool, or ride transit to commute to work this program will help you to get home for that unexpected event. The origin of your trip must fall in the areas served by GRTC’s RideFinders commuter assistance program. If this describes you and your commute then you can request a ride home through the Commute! We want to encourage more people to carpool, vanpool, ride transit, walk, or bike to and from work/school instead of driving alone.
The carpool must be registered with South Florida Commuter Services prior to traveling in the 95 Express Lanes. No, you do not need to have the Uber/Lyft app or have an Uber/Lyft account. Once we make the arrangements for an Uber/Lyft driver to pick you up, you will receive all of the details of the ride via text message on your mobile phone. Our Customer Service Representatives can also provide you information on your upcoming ride over the phone. As a registered commuter, you can access your vouchers by logging into your SFCS profile. You must meet minimum requirements for the car rental provider such as having a current, valid driver's license, and having a valid credit or debit card with funds for a temporary hold.
The six GRH rides will be automatically replenished on October 1st annually. Unused GRH rides will not carry over to the new year. You willONLYbe picked up from your work address on your South Florida Commuter Services profile. You will not be able to utilize your voucher for a Guaranteed Ride Home trip if you request a ride from another location. Carpool/Vanpool driver’s or passenger inability to make the scheduled trip home due to an unexpected work schedule or illness.
If you are planning to get drunk for St Patrick's Day, please do not drive. Uber and Lyft are competing to be the number one ride-sharing service. Save money, and reduce wear on your personal vehicle. A vanpool group usually meets at a centralized location, such as a store or carpool lot. Riders pay a monthly fee as low as $55 per month (based on daily round trip/monthly commute mileage and the size of van). Five to 15 commuters share a van along an established route.
